Mystery tower

Have a part you can't identify? Did your parts get mixed up in the shop? Curious if that chunk of metal is a part you should keep? Not sure what kind of windmill or tower you have? Post photos of the mystery object here for the community to help identify.

Peter the single gear model looks more like a aermoter Bell Hub than a steel star. The double gear mill is very close to a model 12 F and W. but mounts to the tower like a aermoter. Pretty interesting i think!!

Yes the single geared one is an exact copy of the bell hub Aermotor, they either bought the castings from Aermotor or copied them. Who knows

That double gear is very similar to the F&W 12. Did you ever find one of those Peter?

No I have never seen one, I think it is pretty rare. It's the same as the self-oiling but open geared.

Its probably the bell hub they are talking about, it's the only one I know that has Canadian Airmotor marked on it.
