This tower is one of the first steel towers made by aermoter.Their first steel towers weren't galvanized but painted this one has been repainted. Notice the X braces how they hook in the tower and turnbuckle.

Very nice, what color do you think they painted the towers originally? I always heard the original wheels were painted that dingy red like the Salesman Sample in Lubbock is?

Kansas Rust Buzzard Aermoters very first towers were just a square wooden mast or a three legged tilting tower.Then sometime in 1890 they sold unpainted metal towers and shortly after started painting them and I think it was black.

This mill i purchased years ago came from the same farm this tower came from i believe it sat on this tower same time frame.
