Dandy In the air

Generally speaking, this area is for general discussion about windmills, in most cases.

Dandy In the air

Post by Wayne »

After much aggravation, frustration, irritation, fretting and lot of lost sleep the Dandy at Pioneer Village in Corsicana Texas is standing. :?

Congratulations Wayne. Nice job. I'll try to get over your way sometime soon and see it up close.

Regards,
Jim

I say to all your always welcome. Plan to spend some time I'll take you out to the Rogers Homestead. When you come see me I can get you into all the hot spots and it won't cost you anything. You may have to listen to a story or two. No Dan it's not the irrigation model. From the changes that were made in 1895 I believe it was built before then,

Wayne the early Dandys did not have a flange on the 2 gears, After 1895 I believe the flange was incorporated to help keep them aligned better.

Windy Bob and Wayne this shows the difference between the original and the 1895 improved model.
