Don't know if anybody cares or you may already know about this book. There is guy from Canada his name on Smokstak is G Willikers. He has wrote a book about Goold Shaply & Muir. It's for sale I think it's $60.

Mike, the New Ideals are 1 revolution of the wheel to 8 3/4 revolutions of the out put shaft. The Ideals are 1 to 6

Here are a couple of pics of the hub I made for Pauls mill, it was quite a job

That is amazing thinking and craftsmenship ! I still remember the windmill repair of the oblong gear section that was cast & machined to complete that really odd mechanism to replace the broken missing gear part
