Farm Collector

Post by mtblah »

F Y I
Just recieved the November edition of Farm Collector magazine . It appears windmills have taken over . The 5 page article was skillfully written by Christopher Gillis , several photos by Leslie McManus , both who attended the great Lamar Colorado gathering .
Mike Werst was the only Texan also named in the article .

Mike also has a nice article in the current issue of the Windmillers' Gazette.
" You need to get at least 30 miles out of Austin before you're firmly back in Texas."

Nothing is hard if you know how to do it. I'm a low tech guy in a high tech world, I just muddle along.

Got my farm collector mag yesterday. Thought I've posted this picture before of the house in San Diego. It actually had two of the mills and towers. The second picture was my attempt to copy the tower. Not as unique as the Emick's, done on a shoe string budget. My platform was only 7 ft square. It is the only windmill tower I had that I'd put the wheel on after standing the tower. I felt comfortable on that big platform.
