Folk Art

Post by Gregg »

Found this "Folk Art" windmill on a garage sale. The man that had it thought it was early 1900's and he had it for about 50 years. It stands about 33" tall, wheel is 9" dia. The gears appear to be from a clock ??, When you turn the wheel, the gears move the pump rod up and down inside the hand carved pump. Couldn't pass it up. Found an Aermotor oil can at another garage sale the same day.

Great Find. Any windmiller that would pass that up should have his head examined.

Greeg. Nice finds. I made it threw another flea market, garage sale, estate sale season without finding any windmill oil cans or any neat ideas like you found. Have a happy holiday season.
