Heller Aller Baker?

Have a part you can't identify? Did your parts get mixed up in the shop? Curious if that chunk of metal is a part you should keep? Not sure what kind of windmill or tower you have? Post photos of the mystery object here for the community to help identify.

Heller Aller Baker?

Post by Windcatcher530 Dan »

Me and my brother took a ride this morning and came across this old windmill.Im pretty sure the tower is a Heller Aller but not sure of the mill. My Heller Aller has 36 sails but I read they made one for a short while with wider and less sails but have never seen one.The tailvane also looks Heller Aller.

It's not a H/A mill. There is one HUGE issue with it though. OMG

Actually it's a 5-section WC Monitor mill. The tail is also. However, it seems to be around a 1940 model. In '40 they put the turntable on the top of the tower, and in '41 I think they changed the tail from (that) swallowtail version to the vertical one.

It's not the first time Mike. We have changed out Aermotor sections before where they were backwards.

After all that, I still agree with Windy that it's a W Monitor of some size
