Mike, a lot of it is patient's and common sense when it comes to machining. I am fortunate to have worked in manufacturing for many years.

Mark, nice work. I was going to bore and Bush the 2 arms shown in your picture. I have to ask, how did you keep them in line when boring? If they are locked to that square bar, they have to be concentric with each other or they will bind up.

Kenneth, the arms are only tight on the rod for about 5/8” deep. Then the hole opens up to about 1” diameter. Dial in on the larger part, with a dial indicator, where it isn’t worn. Then you will be centered on the original part.
I then bored them 5/8” deep and to 1.062” and then made bushings to take them back to .875

Mark, mine are worn all the way through. I was thinking I could cut a short piece of the square bar, and go ahead and lock them down on that. Then bore them together. That way, they would be concentric with each other.

Yes, I would think that would work. You could line the square stock up with an indicator as well and then just dial over. I can check tomorrow but I believe from center of the square stock to center of the round hole is 1.375
