Vintage Windmill and Wind Generator Forum

I'm looking for the counterweight pitman arm, brake shoe and gear cover. Also the connecting hook if you happen to have that with other parts, otherwise I could probably make my own (Parts circled in attached picture). These parts were mia when I got the mill so it would be helpful if anyone has any!

F.Y.I. i believe all the parts you need are the same as the model 7 with exception of the pitman arm.

No not yet, all I've found is someone who will sell me a complete mill head. Which I would hate to then pick apart to complete mine

I have the connecting hook and the weight arm pivot #6. I found 2 worn out brakes but not a decent one. I’ll do a little more looking for the brake and gear cover.

A worn brake is still better than no brake!! Haha

On the brakes you have found, is it just the shoe or do you have the brake rods aswell?

I have the square shaft and the spring rod. I also found a gear cover I could probably sell.
