What is this?

Have a part you can't identify? Did your parts get mixed up in the shop? Curious if that chunk of metal is a part you should keep? Not sure what kind of windmill or tower you have? Post photos of the mystery object here for the community to help identify.

It's amazing how smart you guy's are ! The depth of knowledge your willing to share is wonderful . Us novices just sit back & try to absorb some part of your experences , some one needs to write a collection of this , Yah , I'm not the 1st one to mention this .

I've never worked on, nor have I even seen a "M" model. I wonder if the K101 has a different size contact surface than the K101A. Or for that matter, are the mast-pipes different diameters? Maybe this weekend, I'll look at an "L" main casting and try slipping this over the mast-pipe.

I'll need to look at my Model L and see what type of neck it has. I know it has the 3 piece bearing assembly.
