Model 3235

Generally speaking, this area is for general discussion about vintage wind generators, in most cases.

Model 3235

Have a tail that says windcharger 3235. Obviously 32 volt but I think it's too big for 350 watts

Wincharger adopted the 4 digit numbering system in about 1940 and also started citing performance and model numbers in terms of average kWhrs delivered per month. Peak power ratings tend to set expectations of performance too high. In only a couple of cases do the last 2 digits correspond to the model number, the 3215and 3220 are models 150 and 200. Beyond that I believe the last 2 numbers are in order of when that model was released for production. I’ve counted over 100 different Wincharger models in their 50 some years of production.
The 3235 was a higher rated generator on the order of 1200W with split field windings and a 4:1 gearbox.
