Phelps and Bigelow I.X.L windmill

Post by Windcatcher530 Dan »

I just received a text with a picture of an I X L windmill the wheel is missing and maybe the hub. What I was hoping does anyone have a pic of one so when I go look at it i can tell if it's missing anything. Thanks Dan

Well ... I happen to know a guy with a couple. :o

Dan, what parts are you needing picks of? I have two that are scattered about my garage. Do you have any pics of the one you are looking at?
Thanks,
Ed

Dan, here are some pics:

These are some pics from Ivan, back geared in front, DS in rear. I have that DS mill ... I actually believe it has a 9" wheel, but have not had it together to measure. Wheel bands are flat stock, bent the hard way.

Ed the pics the guy texted me weren't the best but It did not have the wheel on it. I'm going to look at it in a few weeks he hasn't given me a price yet. From what I can tell the tailvane looks in good condition. It's still on the tower in the air. If i end up getting it i definitely will contact you, Thanks Ed !!!
