Ok I will do that today sometime. Glad you brought it up, because like I said, I have one also, and I could swap a wheel off one of the WG's I have. Thanks for the idea!

I made a template and put it on my original F/M hub. It looked very close, if not even a match. The measurements are, from center , holes on the small front hub look to be 1 1/2 out, and the large hub about 3 inches out from center. I'm thinking that it's do-able. The distance between the front and back hub is right around 7 inches. Thats the faces of both. Let me know what you come up with!

Hey Windy Bob, I just took all the measurements of my hub from the points you said you measured from. I got the exact dimensions you did. I think we can conclude the 2 hubs are one and the same.

Don't know if they are the same, but they measure equally. Good for us! Thanks!

Bob is your open gear the same as Jason's the model 1905 or the 1895 Fairbanks?

I was curious to that as well..in a previous post Bob said he thought his mill was the earlier rendition.

From what I've read mine is the earlier 'FAirbanks' model. I think there was a difference in the 2 shafts configuration. I think one was even with the other, and the second one the shafts were offset. If I remember. The windmill 'bible' states the difference.

Also the Fairbanks model has a governor arm and weight.
