While reading a book about the history of Big Spring Texas I found these pictures and thought they were worth sharing. People often ask how big to build a platform. I always say I like a big platform. It looks like in the first picture the builder of the tower felt the same way. Then the second windmill had no platform you can see steps going up the right front leg. Then I think the other picture has two Railroad Eclipse or Axtell Standards.

Thanks Wayne for posting . The center photo shows the extream base width of towers , there has in the past lengthy discussions on wide base towers , this shows a perfect example .
