ID on a windmill

Have a part you can't identify? Did your parts get mixed up in the shop? Curious if that chunk of metal is a part you should keep? Not sure what kind of windmill or tower you have? Post photos of the mystery object here for the community to help identify.

I don't know of any dating marks. However in the 'green book' it may give more detailed information.

There was a time when I painted mill parts different colors to see all the different parts of them working. I have suffered the indignation of several members. HAHA
Call Dan Benjamin for parts. P M me for the phone number.

Good point Wayne, thank you for the offer. Making it more tempting... Lol I'm still talking to my friend in Indiana to see if they can get that Appleton Goodhue for me. If that doesn't work out I think I'll go for this woodmanse

Don't feel bad windy lol. I think that's a nifty idea! Don't listen to the rivet counters. It's your mill! Paint it as you like! Hahahah

I asked for some better pictures of the woodmanse, so waiting on that. But a part of me is saying I should wait for the trade fair before buying anymore windmills haha

I say it's like having a garden you water and cultivate and watch it grow, pretty soon one turns into 2 then 3 and so on it goes.
