Mike, I'm thinking it's from the 40's. #12 model came out in 1922. On my Dempster information papers, there is a list of changes through the years. The helpers have it at their place, so it's not readily available.

after multipul pours I finally got it good enough for a spinner .

and yes Windy , you are right as usual ! the fan shaft is 1 1/8 " dia , drove to Austin & picked up a piece of "drop " perfect fit .

The inside of this Dempster was almost perfect , taper bearing are more than usable , with oil they should last another generation .

Today while working on the Dempster #12 I took a break and worked on Wayne's hay trolly , the wheels were stuck ... Heat , parrifin wax , and off came the nuts & out came the shaft . Old machinest trick I have been told .
