Morning
Should this be moved down to another part of the forum?
If so how do I do it, or does the administrator do it?
Thanks

the admin does it. I'm following, never seen one of those before, but of course I'm a bit farther south where they don't appear.
Call Dan Benjamin for parts. P M me for the phone number.

I've moved this discussion to the Projects section. A shadow will remain in Introductions.

Ok had a few minutes and was looking at how to remove the brackets on the sails. At first I thought they were soldered but they are spot welded. Any advice to remove them in a reusable way?
Thankyou in advance

Yes the Beatty wheel brackets are all spot welded on there and almost impossible to remove without destroying the whole sail. It's one of the hardest wheels to repair I find. How bad is the wheel bent up?

You can use the shaft out of the earlier model if it's good, they are the same.

That is interesting. Would it be possible to Drill out the spot welds and replace with bolts ? It's hard to tell without looking at one.

I have drilled out the spot and rewelded them but it's really hard to find the spot where to drill and not make a mess.

I can see that now the galvanized covers up the spot welds.
