It's a really well built wheel except when you want to dismantle it, I guess they didn't think about that back then.

Afternoon all,
Here are the 2 hubs I have. One from the 39/42 Beatty and the other from the older version.
The newer shaft is bent about 1/2inch the other maybe 1/8inch. The collars are a different diameter. How can they be removed? Is straightening even possible? Whittled the broken spoke out. Threads are all good.
Still cleaning parts

If you mean the grooves on the inside of the hub, they are part of the hub and can't be removed seperately. Those grooves keep the oil from leaking out the front of the snout where the hub is. Hub in second pic is worn.

You can press the shaft out the front of the hub. I would get a new shaft made for it.

I guess if it is bent it would not come out the front to easy.
What is a tapered key? I have seen some mention on the site. Never seen one on any motorcycles and farm machinery I worked on.
Does anyone have the blueprint/actual measures for the shaft? I guess that might be too much to ask.
Any precautions/setup to press it out? My machinist neighbour has a 50 ton press.
Yeah I know too many questions. But I have learned to be informed and break less valuable parts .( just assembled a 58 harley motor and it runs)
Thanks for the helpful quick replies
