Looks like a picture of 2 windmills! Sure isn’t a picture of me!

Look closely. One mill is in front of the building and the other is behind it….

The big one is furled and the other is not.

Yes, I know there are two, I think they are the same brand but what brand do you think they are?

Going to go way out on a limb here ...

Maybe they are Curries. It is hard to tell, but with the closer windmill it looks like the outer wheel rim goes around the outer ends of the blades. If it is a Currie, the multiplicity of blades would make it almost certainly a 10 footer (I'm not sure, think Currie probably made only one size of blade; adding more of them as the wheel diameter increased). If so, it appears that one or more blades have been blown out.

The profile of the vane sheet is similar to that of the older or original Currie vane (see the Field Guide, page 178).

One can see the silhouette of the head, about all that can be said is that it is compatible with the idea that it is a Currie; or more properly does not rule out the possibility of it being a Currie.

A blurred photo of two windmills !! Did I win the contest?

I am leaning towards the Currie, the photo was in the teens so the time frame would be right but it would be unusual for a new one to loose so many sails unless they didn't tighten the bolts up? I will post another photo from a few miles down the road later, I think it is a Currie also but it doesn't look exactly right to me. Thanks

Well I might as well put in my two cents. As far as I know the largest mill Currie made was a 10ft and the mills in the photo have way to many sails for a 10ft mill. Just my opinion !!!
