Saw this ad for Dandy irrigator, says roller bearings for turn table. I've never seen that before. Was that only for the irrigator?

Looks like it. The regular Dandys I've seen had the turntable in the stormstay with balls.

Just when a person thinks they have seen it all ? always some new & diferent .

On Dandy mills the step plate was the turntable the tower cap was called a chair something the mill sat in.!!

Whats a step-plate?

The step plate is what the leg of the gear box rests on so it can rotate. Most other companies have storm stays or truing spiders that the leg of the mill goes through. I guess Challenge chose to call it that because it is a different setup than other mills.
