Since we are talking Aermotors

Since WIndybob brought up the topic, here is the one I am hoping to start on soon, I got two just alike, one is broke up pretty bad but has parts to fix the other, I think about the only thing I will need is the small gear as both were worn to nothing. Hopefully McMaster Carr has one? I am assuming this is an RA and I say that only because it has the bearing that you can turn to get fresh babbit. (was that the only one that did that?) I have Aermotos on the farm, I don't hate them but I don't worship them either and never studied them that much. It had a very abused swallow type vane with the mess but it was pretty hard to read what it said. I hope one of you can correct me if I am wrong or tell me what I got here. Thanks

PS: Shouldn't an RA be black?

Thanks guys. I think it will just be an indoor unit, one had a broke hub, the other has obvious cracks in the hub, I don't know if they just stress crack or what? Anyway, maybe I will find another at the Trade Fair? Its an RA isn't it?

Call Mark at Second Wind in Fort Worth. He has had gears made that are just like the one the Aermotor open gear pumpers use. 817-249-4881. I think he still has some in stock.

Mark who donated most of the open gear Aermotors to AWPC at Lubbock painted them black and black lettering on the vanes. I have seen some later open gears with very red letters unlike the common later red oxide lettering
