Recently got an older aermotor 702 that has been in storage for a while. I’m looking to rebuild it for aesthetic only I don’t need it to pump. Wanted to know what all I can leave out of the gearbox if it’s just going to be for looks.

In order for the mainshaft and bearings to oil properly, most of it needs to be there. You could leave out pitmans, yoke, upper pitman pin, and oiling ring. the oil would be picked up by the crank gearsm transferred to the pinions, scraped off and deposited in the snout. Large gear bearing oiled by the run off of the large gears. should not leak down the mastpipe, because no oil will be going overhead for the missing upper items.
