Tower parts?

These came with some disassembled Baker Monitor tower components. The Baker Monitor towers were a mix of pieces of the older gut buster steps style and the more modern tower. I don’t recognize a few parts, but here is one part in particular that came with the tower parts, that I’m asking about. Is it Baker Monitor or? Thanks

looks like maybe a pole guide? I don't think it's galvanized tho.

I don't believe it's a pole guide or part of the tower being it's not galvanized.Sway arms were usually two piece.

I should have picked a partially galvanized one as there is some galvanization on others and there are at least two different lengths. One set, and I have several of, is 58” and the longer sets are 103”. The bolt is 9/16 thread on the shorter ones and there are no bolts in the longer ones, just bolt holes at the twist. Some of the tower components have very poor galvanization remaining and some is pretty good. There were two legs from the older Baker Monitor open gear gut buster (steps) tower and two from the more modern Baker Monitor with the slits in the angle iron to accommodate the folded Baker steps.

I wonder if they acted as a cross brace narrow end on girt and other ends on legs. Cause it looks like the twist would do that??

Dan,
I’d agree, but there are no bolt holes on the ends opposed of the twist on the longer ones. There are bolt holes about mid-way on the longer ones. The shorter ones have holes in the ends, opposed of the twist. I feel fairly confident they are tower components, but not on the make or exact usage. More of a curiosity than anything else.

The longer ones with no holes on the end were they cut off ?

That is a strong possibility as I went and looked and saw some longer (about 122”) ones with holes.

Okay, and the holes in the center maybe bolted to a girt between both ends?

That is likely how it went together, yes. Thank you
