Dempster 12A main shaft 8’

I am looking for a used main shaft for a 8’ Dempster 12A.
Moderate wear is acceptable. Jeff Johnson

Jeff , the main shaft on your Dempster , ( or most any windmill ) is a standard cold rolled piece of round steel , 7/8 inch stock cut to length then take to your local machine shop and they can cut the threads to match the existing nut you took off each end .
there are several windmillers on this site with the skills & machings that do this kind of work regurlarly and they are now just sitting back & smiling

Mike a 12-A mainshaft is 1 1/8 minimum. Maybe 1 1/4. They are pretty stout mills. Reg #12 8 ft are 1 1/8.

Windy is right , again , 8ft #12 is 1 1/8 "dia fan shaft , 10 ft #12 fan shaft is 1 3/16 "
