Windmills of England

A friend of mine gave me the neatest Pocket book the other day, Titled up in the wind by Peter Ashley. It is about the old Post windmills like the one at Lubbock and a model called the Smock Mill scatted around England. They were put up in the 17th and 18th Century. Really marvels of engineering The book first came out in 2004. He wrote that several of them have been restored and were still grinding grain in 2004. Just the cap with the arms spun. I never had seen anything about England having those type windmills. I only thought about Holland or the Netherlands when I thought of these type mills.
Here are some photos found on the internet. If you like reading about unusual windmills you would enjoy this book. I bet you can still buy one.
