What is the nut size for top of the mast pipe on a B702 10ft wheel Aermotor? Inside the gear box. Thanks

I don't know the wrench size, but you will never find a threader for the threads on that nut.

It's not a nut. Looks like a pipe plug with a hole in it for the pump rod. Unfortunately, it's not pipe thread (IMHO). However, I would use a drilled pipe plug and re-thread the mast pipe. They can be bought new. My question is whether the wave washer is to be installed curved up or curved down ? Now that I think of it, a hydraulic reducing fitting looks pretty similar to it.

Assuming this is the one you're asking about, it mic's out at 1.465 o.d. (at the threads) and 12 threads per inch.

I appears to be 1-3/4" although it mic's out at about 1.762" to 1.765" across the flats. It won't quite fit into my 1-3/4" socket. It's too big by only a couple of mils.

Typical of Aermotor, the threads are 32 nd size. I can't tell you what 32nd they are, but certainly not standard.

Lots of typical sizes for a 6 footer are 13/32, or 15/32. Ain't it great.

You could do like the blacksmiths did if they didn't have the size they needed they would make them one. You rekon that's what Aermotor did make the nut then cast a wrench to fit. After all thats another saleable item!

Thanks for all the help everyone. My 1 3/4 inch wrench was too small and the 1 7/8 wrench was too large. Luckily the nut was loose and my hand could unscrew it. Lol
