Re: another Texas auction
Looks to possibly be in the Elgin family. I’m not overly familiar with their models, assuming it is an Elgin.
Re: another Texas auction
any other suggestions on model ?
Re: another Texas auction
This is the one Tim posted a link to previously in an auction.

I’d lean towards an Elgin model B, but additional photos would be helpful as the auction photos are lacking angles and context that could be helpful to me.

Re: another Texas auction
I went back to the January auction results , appears to be the same item ? it sold then for $55 .
Re: another Texas auction
Mike,
Probably a lot of work for the novice buyer. Really a lot of work for anyone. Someone likely looked at it in person after the sale and backed out, leaving it to be reauctioned? That is a possibility.
The same with that Dempster and X602 that sold near Waco on Friday. That X602 sold for $140 and Dempster sold for $230. The Dempster was probably worth that, but certainly is frozen and needed a lot of parts, but the sheet metal, wheel arms and tail bone were in decent shape. The x602, someone got into a bidding war on it as it wasn’t worth what it sold to. Makes me think the buyer will receive some disappointment at pick up, if no preview occured.
