Working on finally rebuilding a David Bradley I have to add to my collection, got it all taken apart and gonna blast stuff and get ready for paint. Just have a question, is this amount of wear concern for anything on the bottom of the pipe?

That isn’t that bad. I posted a mast pipe replacement of a W series at some point in a prior thread. You could weld it up and use a grinder or flap disc to smooth it back down. Consider adding a grease zerk on the stay.

Okay, I think I will leave it be for now. Definitely going to add a zerk though!

I’ve welded up a few. This one isn’t a W series, but it is the same concept.

A flap disc can make a below average weld :D into an average weld.
