Aermotor bent wheel.

Generally speaking, this area is for general discussion about windmills, in most cases.

Aermotor bent wheel.

Post by hedgerow »

Had a storm come threw early Saturday morning with 92 MPH wind and bend the wheel on one of my 602 Aermotor windmills. Anyone on here know anyone close to Lincoln Nebraska I could hire to take the gear box and wheel down. Its on a thirty foot tower.

I spoke with Loren Lockman. It doesn't look like he will be able to help. Any other ideas out there? With my health issues I can't deal much with heights. I guess if nothing else we will unbolt the tower and pull it down after harvest is done. Its next to a bean field. If someone wanted it I would give the complete windmill to them for taking it down.

No luck with Eric Wattier. I left several voice mails. No calls back. Sent several texts with pictures and no reply. If anyone near Lincoln Nebraska wants this windmill for free its there's if they take it down. Aermotor 602 with a bent wheel and a thirty foot tower. If no taker's we will unbolt it after harvest and pull it down and scrap it. My health doesn't let me deal with heights anymore.
