I have never been a big believer in this, I have several heads with weird stuff that sure isn't a date. I think I got one with a J9 or something like that, maybe its a K also?

On my 16ft there doesn't appear to have ever been a stamp at all, I polished it all over looking.

I have a 10 ft 602 that does not have any markings as well.

On the early 602's generally before 1919 the year is stamped on the end of the main shaft. You might find a date there...

Interesting. I just went out and took a look at mine. Stamped into the end of the shaft is the following:

IUMM
C
Is this a date code? If so,is it decipherable?

Thanks,
Jim

Attached is pictured a hub that I saved from an old wrecked A602 that shows the date stamp fairly well. 18 is stamped twice.

Sorry, it didn't occur to me to add an image to my previous post.

I looked at my 602. On the flat spot on the hoop at the top is a Z then a 7 then a 22. So I was thinking July of 22. ??
