Is it a Dempster pump? They put your company name on them if you bought a certain number of them.

The pump is almost identical to my Ward Pump Co. made in Rockford Il. The gear head design is the same a little different where handle mounts. I'll take a picture later and post it!

Maybe they made just enough changes so they avoided Patent issues.

Ok. I can't find anywhere where they actually make pumps here. However, there were places that sold them. Here's what I found. Cook Supply sold Aermotor stuff. Chamberlin Supply Co sold H/A items. Dempster had a branch house in OKC. Mideke Supply Co in OKC during the 30's sold Elgin Windmill Co items.
Peerless-Oklahoma Co in OKC Sold Fairbury items.
There were probably others. I know there was a place in Enid that sold Monitor mills etc. The name slips me at the moment, but I have tails with the name on it. Also, I have 2 pumps that have Meno Hdwre, Meno Okla on them, and I know of 2 that have Ames Hdwre, Ames Okla on them also. They are Dempster pumps. I also have restored one that said Okeene Hdwre, Okeene Okla.
That's all I can find.

Thanks windy. i couldn't find anything on the manufacturer either. You would think a company that had their name cast on a pump would have records somewhere.

You might check the tower legs real close. A lot of times the dealers name is on there. Maybe that would help. Other than that, I'm as far in the woods as you are on this one.
