A group of windmill guys have introduced a new website called Windmills for Sale in Texas.

The friends have reach a deal to buy new 702 model windmills direct from the factory in Mexico. The windmills are a clone of the original Aermotor 702 and they still use the Babbitt bearings and hot dipped galvanized blades. I know many of you are Aermotor devotees and I hope not to turn this post into a debate on windmill manufacturers. (A vision of my grandfather and my uncle Ford vs Dodge debate that was a formal ritual of our thanksgiving dinner just made the tip of my ears and temple warm with a painful flashback.)
Many of us have been selling this model windmill for close to 20 years without issues. In fact, my mentor and probably the “go to guy” for most of you, Ken has been providing the 702 windmill for a very long time. If you like to refurbish old windmills, that is great. If you are a direct Aermotor dealer, that is good also. This is just a different path to keep windmills alive.
