New Guy with Monarch and Heller-Aller windmills

Thanks for having me in the group. I was on the old forum many years ago and got everyone's help identifying my first windmill which is a a pretty rare early Monarch direct stroke. I still have that one to rebuild since it needs a lot of work. I'll post up some pictures when I get a chance. I may be interested in trading this one off or selling to someone wanting a rare mill for their collection at some point.
I just picked up a Baker/Heller-Aller Model 28 this last week that got me back out on the internet searching windmills, so here I am. The interesting thing about the HA is that someone had gutted the internals and added a sprocket to run an alternator for electric power. My plan is to just restore this one as a decorative "spinner" to put up at my farm house. Since the internals are already missing, I think I will just mount a couple of pillow block bearings inside the gear box and call it good. The tail, wheel, and hubs are in great shape and I have the top 10' of tower with a good cap and storm stay. I'm just here to have some fun and I enjoy working on old iron things.
