Not sure what the intent of someone adapting an external shaft on an Aermotor would be. Saw this and found it unique. I see the seller says wind generator or ceiling fan, but I’m not seeing it.

No kidding. LOL Must be a new shaft. No rust. How long does a piece of raw steel need to sit out before rust starts? maybe overnight in a heavy dew.

Long shaft is to be able to hang from a high ceiling and connect it to a box that has a motor to turn for a windmill ceiling fan. See video from Windmill Ceiling Fans of Texas webpage.

Jerry,
Thank you.
I understand how it would work as a ceiling fan (shaft/wheel/hub) apart from the gearbox, but a person would potentially have to hang the whole gearbox, vane, etc. as currently setup. It is unique.

It;s pretty cool how they did the shaft coming out the back of the gearbox. I guess they drilled out the back of the gear box. I wonder how hard that was drilling it out

You could also fix an electric motor to the shaft and a slip ring to the turn table then make power while your pumping water. i was thing and doing that to mine but decided against it for the 20'

I want to see how you put oil in it. And how it stays.
