I have I believe is a Beatty Pumper Windmill. We bought our farm 25 years ago and we have this magnificent windmill standing over our well. Now when it is just a bit breezy our windmill squeaks very loud. I don't have anyone who knows what to do about the squeaking and I need some help with this situation. The windmill no longer is used for pumping our well. Can someone give me some suggestions? Thank you, Susie

Yes the gearbox is up top, It needs to be maintained even if it's not pumping water. If nobody has been up there in 25 years it's probably worn out and that's why it's squeaking. Could you post some pictures?

Welcome Susie! Sounds like your mill could use some help. You've come to the right place for guidance. Lots of knowledge folks here. Share a few pics of your mill, and share what you know of it's maintenance and repair history.
