They used to do that with most. On the tower leg, tailbone too. If the paper tag came off during RR shipping, it would still get there.

One of the Aermotor's that I have still has the name of the local lumber yard that must have been a dealer back then stenciled on the tower's leg.

I bought Aermotor tower pieces from a man from two different towers. One had Egan SD on a leg and the other one Hagan Minn on it. They are on the same highway east west of each other. I thought was unique.
