Hey to all. I have been working off & on this project for a while. Recently finished the tower assembly and need to assemble the fan. So I get a call and Ron wants to know if I am ready, he will be in Phoenix for service work, so I lie and say sure I will be ready. I get the lower section of the tower set, mix & pour concrete and backfill. I am thinking I have a 3 or 4 days to finish the assembly, plenty of time, right. He calls Sunday, my day 1, I will be there this afternoon. Yikes. So I start in and then after Ron and his PR rep(Macy the hound) get there we continue fixing blades and putting together fan sections. Monday he goes and does his service work and I start fan assembly, Ron, Master wind miller, gets back and right away finds my mistakes because I got in a hurry and did not pay attention. So after we got my mistakes corrected and finished assembly we moved the head into position and slid it on the mast. By now it is around 1pm Monday, Then the wind picked up and continued the rest of the day 14 to 16 mph. This morning we started at 5:30am and had everything bolted home by 7:30. He loaded up, headed up to Cottonwood to do another service and is then headed back home to Montrose. Linda and I really appreciated Ron taking the time help me finish and putting up our 2nd windmill.
