wind mill identification
As Mentioned previously I have a wind mill in the yard. We just purchased this home. We were told by the owner that it was a Beatty. How can we actually tell what make of windmill it actually is. Is there something specific to look for. Thanks

I'm going t get some close up pictures of this Beatty and post them. As I have said to Paul I am just waiting now for a guy to come with his thirty foot ladder to get up there and trouble shoot for what might need fixing, He could show up anytime now so I'm just waiting. Any one out there who knows ...

Paul I will get some pictures soon to send to you I'm actually waiting for a guy to come and and try fixing things up. He has a thirty foot ladder and will be able to get some close ups to send. Just not sure when he's going to show. I'll keep you in the loop.

I'll try to get some close up pictures after the wind drops it is to to dangerous to get up there right now. It must mean though that the lever is seized in a down position making it run all the time. Perhaps I should get up there and lubricate it some where and if so where? Also where on this lever ...

Peter I see the pull in lever the brake I suspect. My windmill operates continually, there is no way to turn it off. That is my question. Do you pull down on this lever to stop it and release it to activate it? also where do you attach at and then hold it down? Do you just use a rope and tie it to ...
