That makes more sense. When I was told a steam engine needed to fill their water tank every 7 miles or so, I thought that sounded short, but who was I to argue. Thanks Wayne

Re: Pumping water for the railroad
Cool picture Wayne, thanks for sharing. Several years ago, I heard that after the railroad came through, towns popped up every 7 miles or so due to the old steam engines need for water. That makes me think there would have been many locations across the country where ground water was not available ...

Re: What could they possibly be
A lot of times I will offer twice what scrap price would be. Not all the time though. some folks would consider that an insult. Some take it happily. When you make an offer like this, do you have it weighed or just know the weight from experience? This would be a great starting point for ...

Re: 2025 windmill calendar
Mike, I hope your personal situation is not serious and is resolved soon. Being a newbe, I was unaware of the windmill calendar. Do you or someone in the group have a calendar or two from past years? I'd like to get them if possible.

Re: Crazy skeleton
That's funny. I left one of those skeletons in a small void space under the kitchen island when we built our home. Hopefully someone will find it years from now when we are dead and gone.
