Welcome to the forum. That is a nice tower. It doesn't appear to have an Aermotor stub tower section at the top. Might consider getting one so that the mast pipe is adequately secured. It looks like the mast pipe is for a 6' mill (X702). Yours is an 8' (A702). You'll need a mast pipe for an 8'. Also, doesn't look like you have an Aermotor stub section at the top of the tower. You'll need to get one so that the mast pipe is properly secured to the tower. Does the mast base X/A 674 ...

Aermotor A-702 Missing Something

I picked up this mail in Kansas a few days ago. I noticed that the mast pipe base was broken into corners so I removed it. The shaft at the top looks smaller than the hole in the gearbox. Besides the top nut for the mast, am I missing something like a sleeve?

Hello from Tennessee

I brought home a complete, downed A-702 Aermotor head/fan from Kansas a couple days ago. With that came a “20 FT GIANT” tower with what appears to be an Aermotor mast. I will be posting pictures and asking for info as I rebuild and erect.
