also picked up a John Deere pump jack to install as backup to the windmill.
Appears to be newer as it has a "V" belt drive pully.
I have Maytag #72 twin i will belt onto it. it will look cute.

this water pump loos like a lot of others, nothing special jus cast by another company
both the holes in the handle are well worn from lots of use .
When its time to install under the tower I will install bushings & larger pins to take up the slack.

bearing # 752, carrier for the large gears. seams fairly straight forward to jig-up to hold babbitt.
I have ordered 3 lbs from Kapp Alloy, only $8 per lb, shipping cost as much as the product.

as usual windybob is right !
while fitting the pinion to the big gear I discovered the bearing must be even with the housing. Some grinding & filing required.

both bushings are held in place with a set screw,

I had my favorite machinist install brass bushings to repair the worn holes for the tail pin.
He also made a new tail pin.
