Setting fan on tower

Getting ready to set my fan on tower. Any tricks to hooking up furl rods to the fan? Do they just go into place as fan is lowered? Thanks for any help. Bill

It's easier to hook the furl rods in place before putting mill all the way in place.lower them in place together.

Make sure you put grease on rod heads and the two cast pieces they slip into before you put them in place.much easier.

I'm lost here. What are furl rods and fan lowered mean? The 'fan lowered' is that the whole head? What's 'furl rods"?

You know. Its that round thing with them button things on the end that go up there on that roundy round thing that spins an pumps water or just looks good. I hope I wasn't too technical.
