Windy , is there supposed to be caps over the 3 oil cavities ? or just open to the elements ?
I like the thread trying to press copper sheets into caps , the best part is going to the plumbing supply house and buy pre-made copper ends .

Yes there are. I just didn't get that far yet. I think Paul C used to make them,, and he used wood dies. Very easy on the edges of the metal.

Windy , at what point am i supposed to take photos ? There are lots of brackets , arms , supports , and "stuff " on this Ideal Steel that my Aermotor doesn't have .
And I thought this would be easy compared to my Aermotor , HA
In the photos it shows a trough shaped oiler and a third round spigot under the hub .
Hub is not off yet , rust penetrating oil just starting , now the long wait .

Mike, The Aermotor is one of the easiest mills to work on, however, there are built- in clearances that a person needs to pay attention to. My first mills were Dempsters. If you know everything about a Dempster, all the rest are mild. You got spoiled on Aermotor. Sorry!

After 5 days of soaking , heat 5 different times , candle wax melted into any kind of gap , lots of talking to this Ideal Steel the hub came off .
All in one piece , only broke a flange cover , see the section on " what I broke today ".
At this rate I'll be an old man before its finished .

That's the fun part. If I remember, you need to get the shafts out of the gears. Looks like the mainframe is in the way of pulling the 2 combos. Let us know how many 6 packs it takes. lol
