In looking at your demo pic, the Althouse had a full tower under it but at the top of the remnant of the tower is that a water tank or what? Power mill or pumper? Why do you think they was a full tower under it? You really need a camera with more than 2 mp...

Ron, I didn't take the picture. It was a full powermill and showed up as late as the 1901 Althouse Wheeler Catalog mentioning it grinding grain. I would have liked to taken pictures myself but it was catycornered across the state from me. In the picture showing what the whole ranch looked like there were several pumping mills nearby but they could have ran a well off this, I believe it was 25ft if I remember right? Probably not real efficient to just pump water with and most people around here frowned on a well inside a barn.
