Painting windmill tower

Post by CN63 »

Hello, I am in the process of reconditioning a Aermotor A602 windmill. I am looking for a product that I can paint onto the tower that will resemble galvanizing to look original and last for years. One of the products I came across is ZRC cold galvanizing. Does anyone have any thoughts on this product or other products that they may have used and again is long lasting.

ZRC is the only galvanized paint i use. The only thing is make sure you stir it really good.

I’ve too used ZRC cold galvanizing and have been pleased. Prep well by removing / neutralizing rust and removing oil.

I have used Van Sickle premium Aluminum paint for well over a decade. Good quality oil based paint. Brush on. Or like dad used to say, 'butter it on, boy'. lol
Call Dan Benjamin for parts. P M me for the phone number.

Windy , why do we remember those kinds of sayings ? My father used silver paint that was HEAVY with lead , it really prevented rust .
