Re: Windmill Barn
Wonder what was their reason to build it. It basically is just a reconfigured Dandy. What market were they thinking they would get?

Re: Windmill Barn
Wayne it was manufactured in honor of their late president Thomas Snow only for a short time i guess out of respect probably!!
Re: Windmill Barn
A lot of those old Challenge mills had the same tail and wheel. Bet those Snow mills are pretty rare.
The Book says at one time Challenge had 107 different mills in production. Wow what a collection that would be today!

Re: Windmill Barn
Very fortunate to have collected such unique & nice windmills , you did have to build a good barn to protect then during the northern harsh winters .
Nice job on ALL !

Re: Windmill Barn
Your Dandy looks to be an early one with the narrow gears like I put up at Pioneer Village. Oh yeah they named me Historian of the year of 2022 for donating and putting the Dandy up. That and $3.25 I can get a cup of coffee. I'm glad more people can see it. It has been a big hit so far lots of good comments.
