Re: Eclipse paint code
I understand. I guess no one has went to a paint store and had the colors scanned. I never have. The only Eclipse I have was painted when I bought it. A paint store probably wouldn't scan a piece and give you the code unless they were mixing the paint I figure.

Terry,
Windmillers Gazette winter 1982 "Special Eclipse Issue", T lindsay had Sherwin Williams analyze original paint from blades that been stuck together.
SWP Base B VELDT Grass, 3 oz. Gold,
4/32 maroon, 8/32 black.

Re: Eclipse paint code
Now if 40 years later do they still have all those numbers. I wonder how they analyzed it back in 1982. Good Luck!
Re: Eclipse paint code
I am going to take that code to Sherwin Williams and see what they can come up with.
Now to figure out if the numbers are for a quart or a gallon.
I will let you know.

Re: Eclipse paint code
Nice conclusion. Just curious, has anyone ever found something similar for Flint and Walling green paint?

Re: Eclipse paint code
I know Shwerwin Williams can mix the 1910 Santa Fe depot colors from the RR paperwork. With the old oxidated paint it didn't look like my chips but nobody is alive to tell my any different.
