If it's just for show, no big deal. If it's going to be a pumper, yeah, then it is.

Just starting on my C. It also have a bent mast pipe. We don't have any of the pullout parts or original tower cap and turntable. Fortunately I have a complete 12' Dempster 12, which has the same diameter mast pipe. Will likely fabricate a pullout identical to the Dempster.

I've been following this thread closely. Keep up the good work Brandon.

Paul - I’d be interested in seeing your conversion on your C.

I have converted a few mills to the Dempster pullout type. If the pulley arrangement is similar to Dempster, you can't beat it.

Well, things did not go well this week. The key is completely drilled out but the hub will not budge not sure why it's not a press fit but something has gone wrong and we'll the hub flange snapped. I've been here before and it was taken to a machine shop to press the hub off, I just don't know what shop it was taken to and all the ones I knew with a big press have closed up or passed away. So not sure where I'll go from here, it might go back to the barn to sit and I'll start on another one then maybe come back to it if I can find someone willing to try and press it off.

Well we will try this weekend with some heat and the puller plate. Hopefully fingers crossed it pops off then the repairs can begin, again.

I need to look at mine, to make sure if the shaft is threaded and keyed both, or not. I don't have a hub on mine, but a new mainshaft. You might hold up a bit till i holler back.
