Mike,

I’m not really interested in the tower. Have at it if you want it. If you need help loading it, that tower is near my place, if it is the tower I’m thinking about.

I might consider the Dempster that is also for sale. While I dislike Dempsters, my wife’s uncle dropped off a beat up and trashed 6’ #12 last year. I fixed the tower, wheel, and vane, but the gearbox is probably best used as a boat anchor as it had a rough ending to its life and a good amount of broken castings when it fell. So I’m looking for a 6’ #12 gearbox and wheel arms for him. Hard to tell if it is a #12.

Tim,

Thank you.

One looks like a 6’ Dempster as I previously cited and the other looks like a 602. I’ll bid on the Dempster, possibly the Aermotor. The Aermotor looks in very poor shape, possibly there is something salvageable on it and I’ll go by on the preview day of the auction.

The tower ended up being a Butler and had a Dempster storm stay.

The x602 was rough. Current bid is $0.70 (Yes less than $1). The vane and buffer are probably the best two useable parts on it. Not many 6’ Aermotors around my area.

The Dempster had a large fire ant mound in it. Being it is 19 degrees out, the fire ants want no part of the cold. Not doubt that gearbox is frozen. Hub was thin.

I have my doubts if I’ll bid on anything.

If you could get it cheap enough it might be worth getting it. 6ft 602 parts aren't common and the angle iron on the tower is always good to have.Just my opinion !!
