Post by Jrdkrg »

Hello,

I am new to the forum and windmills. We recently bought a a old farm and in the barn we found a windmill head and parts…

I was wonder If anyone could help identify it, it says star on it and was made in kendalville, IN.

I attached a few photos.

I would greatly appreciate any info on it.

Thank you.

The tail in the left side of the picture is the one for it. Other is an Aermotor tail.
Call Dan Benjamin for parts. P M me for the phone number. IF YOU TALK TO HIM, AND HE HELPS YOU, THEN BUY FROM HIM. IT CREATES GOOD KARMA.

That is definitely a Star 24. Are you planning g to restore it? I have restored several Star 37's, which are very similar to the 24. I did not see a hood or helmet in the pictures. Did you find a square sheet metal hood for it? Looks like a fun project. If you have questions, let us know.
